Midwest Fireplace and Chimney Ltd.

All I can say is WOW!!!! I usually do all my own work but I know which battles to fight and having my chimney redone was not on I wanted to tackle. I had Midwest come to my home in Dec to clean and inspect our fireplace. Long and short Not good. The chimney had to be relined, firebox rebuilt, and crown redone.(The crown was damaged due to a mason who did not know how to rebuild it) That is another story. One of the owners, Jordan, initially completed the inspection. Right from the start we can not say enough about the personality, service, attitude, honesty and integrity. From the beginning Jordan took great care to ensured our home was protected. He laid down tarps, covered his shoes and ensured everything was exactly the way he found it when he left. We had the owners, Jordan and Pete come in for the estimate for the work. Both were, again, pleasant, honest and forthright. They explained the process, the protection they would take with our home and what it entailed as far as set up, timeframe and if the work would be completed outside at a later date due to weather. (The weather cooperated and they finished) Low and behold we finally found a contractor that stood by their word. ON time and no BS or extra $ needed because of something they didn't expect. Other than the doors ( ordering them) everything turned out exactly the way we expected. Jordan and Pete will be doing our fireplace doors. Additionally, this job took one week as they said but, we hardly knew they were even in our home, even though the lions share of the week they worked in our den ripping(Noisy on first day due to removal by Sawzall of metal fire box), tearing and rebuilding the firebox and chimney. Also, I had inquired about making the firebox bigger. They were honest with me and did not feed me a line of BS that they would take care of it and it would look great! What they stated was very honest and advised us, It really isn't worth the chance.(Honesty and integrity again) Once again I am not a fan of contractors but rest assured if I need chimney work/cleaning and inspections or my friends/family, I will highly recommend Jordan and Pete. WOW!!!!

Our wood burning fireplace needed work, inside and out. We supplement our heat by burning firewood in the winter and most of the heat was going right up the chimney. Our home has a lot of glass and the living room was so cold you had to dress in layers to watch TV. Enter Midwest Fireplace and Chimney and we couldn't be happier! First of all, they showed up for a quote when they said they would, and they showed up to do the work when they said they would! Reliability is sorely missing with a lot of folks and Peter and his crew were wonderful. They even finished the job a day early! They couldn't have been more professional. The quality of the work is top notch and they had everything clean as a whistle when they left. They installed a wood burning stove inserted into our fireplace and then built up the frame to match our 50+ year old stone. I couldn't believe the way the new stone matches the old! They took such care to make sure to keep the look that complements our house and in the end my husband and I both believe we've added a lot of value to our home with this choice. No more ashes spilling out onto the hearth, no more dressing in layers, in fact it was 69 degrees in that room this weekend. We couldn't believe it. I had a great experience with Midwest Chimney- they responded very quickly to my blocked chimney, and unblocked it and added a chimney liner all in one day! Peter and Jordan’s work was very professional and fast, and I am so grateful for their assistance!

Peter and Jordan from Midwest fireplace were warm and friendly people in my home for a better part of the day! I made sure to keep the area clean and neat as they worked. They were very efficient and made certain that my fireplace insert was working and I understood how to use it.
