Zillges Landscape, Fireplace & Excavation

We had our gas fireplace looked at and cleaned up by Zillges. I want to emphasize the staff that came to my house were 5 star worthy. When they left they were kind and said if you have any problems in 30 days please call us back. That evening my wife used the fireplace and the blower did not work. The next day I called back and JIM answered the phone. What a jerk. That guy should never be allowed to talk to customers. He talked to me like I hadn't owned my home for 24 years. I told him it was probably something that accidentally didn't get plugged back in or something, no big deal. He tried blaming me for having the wrong kind of switch. I have no idea what his problem is but it's a problem. He put me on hold. Then told me he could have someone here in 10 minutes. I said great. The two nice guys came back and it was a loose wire. I hope you have better days JIM Update: The owner did call me this morning and assured me that this is not how they do business. I really appreciate that they followed up and took care of the situation. Thank you Zillges

Mixed Experience - Good Service, Problematic Pricing (Wood stove/fire place installation only) Zillges was professional and knowledgeable during our fireplace/wood stove installation consultation. However, their material pricing was a deal-breaker. Example: A 36" Class A insulated stainless steel pipe listed at $300 in their quote costs $125 at Menards. Our complete material quote was $3,000+; we sourced identical components for closer to $900. Since labor was quoted separately, the 200-300% markup on materials felt unreasonable. We opted for a different installer. Recommendation: Price-check materials independently before committing.

We hired Zillges to redo a long stone wall along our driveway that was falling down. It had to be taken down and rebuilt correctly. Vince and Isaiah did an incredible job!! It looks amazing and we are so happy with the work they did! We will definitely hire Zillges for our next project! The entire team was great to work with from start to finish!

Did a fabulous job installing sod on our yard. I believe they're one of the few companies that actually work up the soil before installing the sod.
