Johnson Masonry LLC & Chimney Service

We chose DJ and his company - Johnson Masonry - for all the frost footing foundation, garage floor, sidewalks and apron concrete work for a new detached 35’ x 45’ garage we built in 2025. Of four concrete work bids we received, Johnson Masonry was in line with or below all others. But what sold us initially on Johnson Masonry was DJ’s quick reply to our inquiry, his initial site visit to review the plans and job site before bidding on, and his visit after getting the work to review in detail what to expect timing wise. Professional, prompt, knowledgable and just pleasant to work with. We were the home owner / novice general contractor on this project. DJ went out of his way to patiently explain the process and the options we faced. Of all the sub contractors we worked with, DJ and Johnson Masonry crews were always the one we could count on arriving on site exactly when they said they would be. Though weather always changes planned concrete work schedules, DJ & his crews worked weekends and nights to keep our project on schedule. The actual concrete work - polished and sloped garage floors with radiant heat, exposed aggregate sidewalks and sloped aprons with integrated downspout drain catch basins - was all completed exactly as we and DJ had discussed. I hired Johnson Masonry and Chimney Service to service one of my client’s homes and had a great experience. DJ was wonderful to work with and very easy to communicate with. He responded quickly, his rates were reasonable, and the quality of service was excellent.
