I am completely happy with my experience with Oakenshield. Mark was generous with both his time and expertise. He helped me recognize the airflow pattern, health of the dampers and how to best build a fire in my 110 year old fireplace. He even removed a bee hive that unbeknownst to me had taken up residency in the ash dump channel! I won't call anyone else for my chimney/fireplace needs!

Very nice man came out. He evaluated our situation which was squirrel nest in our co2 vent. He raised our awareness of the danger we were in which was very high. He couldn't fix the problem besides adding a screen but what he did very well may have saved our lives. He didn't charge us either because it was beyond repair. Thank you oakenshield chimney we may very well owe you our lives❤️

Mark is fantastic: he came to correct a smoke problem we had with our wood stove (after another company in town just cleaned it the week before!). He found that the bird wire below the chimney cap was completely clogged with creosote, and the stove pipe had not been adequately cleaned either. Unfortunately the prior company had not gone on the roof at all during their “cleaning” . Mark was professional, gave great tips for usage, safety, and maintenance, and was a pleasure to work with. So grateful to have found this wonderful, locally owned business!
