Darrell is a master of his trade. We wanted a traditional fireplace with a good-looking chimney and a firebox that was safe and had proper draw to keep smoke out of the house. He completed the following work: 1. Removed and reconstructed the chimney 2. Replaced broken flue tiles below the roofline 3. Repaired the chimney throat and the smoke chamber 4. Reconstructed the firebox backup wall and the smoke shelf 5. Reconstructed the fire brick wall 6. Fabricated a new damper opening to promote proper draw Darrell tackled this challenge with skill and was conscientious about doing the job right. He kept us informed throughout the process as to whether he could repair our damaged firebox and chimney. There were so many unknowns so Darrell completed one stage at a time and then reevaluated the next step. Darrell and his team, Bryan and Grant, are hard-working and diligent. Thanks to their determination, we have a beautiful, working fireplace. We love the final result and the ambience it brings.

Blackstone masonry did a fantastic job fixing our fireplace. Darrell and his guys are honest, respectful and very easy to work with. The outcome of their work was phenomenal. During the project they were going in and out of the house all day long and they kept the workspace and walkway in and out of the house nice and clean. Darrell was very knowledgable and saved us money by giving us advice on what we could do ourselves to lower cost before the crew came out to repair our leaking chimney. When his crew came out for repair, they were professional and we felt very comfortable with them right away. We will use them again if any future issues arise.
