High Tech Chimney Sweeps

High Tech Chimney Sweeps were absolutely fantastic to work with! Darrell and Joseph rebuilt the chimney on our historic Wilmington home, starting from the attic all the way up, carefully laying each brick. They also cleaned out the chimney flue and set up a fully working gas fireplace in our house, which dates back to the 1890s. We honestly thought we’d never get to use the fireplace, but they made it happen and brought it back to life! While it would have been nice to see a few choices for how the fireplace face would look (ours turned out all black and we might have chosen a metal look if offered), the finished result still looks amazing and works perfectly. The new chimney matches our home’s historic style and meets all the local codes. We are enjoying the updated look and the cozy warmth of the gas fireplace. They were also very patient and helpful as we navigated a lot of paperwork and requirements for our home renovation. We really appreciate the great service and expert work.

After getting a really expensive quote and some bad news from another chimney company, i decided to call High Tech Chimney Sweeps in Wilmington for a second opinion. Joseph came out to inspect my chimney and walked me through everything he was checking. He explained the damage my chimney had from a previous chimney fire, showing me exactly what was going on. Even though i didn't mention that i already had an inspection done elsewhere, Joseph still let the inspection fee count as a credit towards any chimney repairs if i chose to move forward. The prices were fair, and i liked how much time he spent making sure i understood each step of the process. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing a chimney sweep or repair, and i plan to use them again for my annual chimney cleaning.

I recently had my chimney swept and inspected in Wilmington. While Joseph was taking care of the chimney cleaning, Darrell offered to check my dryer vent as well. I'm really glad he did, because he found that the vent was broken underneath the house and blowing straight into the crawl space. Darrell fixed the whole vent system right away and made sure it was cleaned out too. Both Joseph and Darrell were friendly, skilled, and professional. It’s not often you find such great service at a fair price from people who really know what they’re doing. If you need your chimney or dryer vent taken care of, I definitely recommend this team!

Joseph arrived ahead of schedule for our chimney sweep appointment and took the time to explain the whole process to me.
