We had a great experience with getting our chimney rebuilt. Cody Kieffer-Owner/Operator/Mason- did the work. He appeared to be knowledgeable and explained things, like mortar color matching, brick color matching, and everyday cleaned up really well. My 88 year old mother hired this contractor to fix a leak that was coming into her house from the chimney. The contractor demanded full payment upfront, excessively high amount. Once the check was cashed by this contractor, they kept putting off the work, over and over. The day of the repairs, one person showed up with a ladder and spent less than four hours at the property. The next day we noticed that the area that was " repaired" was significantly lower than the rest of the roof, that the repaired area was also not inline with the rest of the shingles. When called the owner got very upset and said that his work was perfect and the rest of the roof was the problem. We requested that he come back to look at it he refused. They offered no guarantee, no follow up and became very rude When asked for his contractor license number he also refused. The area that he repaired began leaking worse than before and destroyed the interior wall below. When he was asked to come several times to look at the problem, he refused and stated that he was under no obligation to back his work and again blamed the leaks on the rest of the roof, he was hired to fix the leaking, and got paid to do just that, but he did not fix anything and he made it worse. There have been two licensed, professional roofing companies over to assess the problems, both have given written evaluation of this contractors work, and have found it to not be up to WI code, that the wrong materials were used and that his price was three times what anyone would reasonably charge. After contacting him several times in a polite manner, he became obstinate, insulting and threatened to file a restraining order for harassing him. He was given at least six months to come to see the issue in person, but refused, and stated that he would have to charge for a visit. This is no way to treat an 88 year old widow, and sadly the Court is going to have to get involved... another elder predatory contractor, beware !!

Cody of Make Your Mark LLC just completed masonry repairs related to the sale of our home. He skillfully and quickly added fascia to our windows and weepage to improve drainage away from our home. He also repaired cracks in and around our porch. I couldn’t be more happy with the way he transformed cracks and made them look like mortar lines that had always been there rather than just a repair. Pricing was great and service was prompt. So very happy.
