Malton Chimney & Masonry Repair

so our house is over in Countryside and the chimney brickwork was deteriorating pretty bad on the side that faces west. like full bricks were spalling and pieces would end up in the yard after a freeze. my dad kept saying it was gonna collapse eventually which is dramatic but he wasnt totally wrong lol. Malton sent someone out to look at it and they recommended a partial rebuild of the top 8 or 9 courses plus tuckpointing lower down where the joints were shot. the new bricks they used are a close match, not perfect but honestly the old ones were so faded and chipped that the fresh ones actually look better next to them. crown cap is new too which i didnt even know was a thing until they pointed out the old one was cracked in half.
